This year´s FEFCO Technical Seminar took place from 20. - 22.10.2021 in Copenhagen with the slogan “Towards intelligent manufacturing - The digitalization of the corrugated industry”.
Already in 2019, Dücker achieved the Health and Safety Award for the invention of Certified Muting Application (CMA). This year, Dücker could also convince with innovative ideas.
There were several highlights at this year´s exhibition: Besides 3 excellent spotlight presentations, two awards were brought to Dücker´s home town Langenfeld.
The first presentation concerning “Peripherals for e-commerce” was presented by Vincent Tromson (Dücker International). As a growing trend, e-commerce should be supported by innovative machines. The Dücker companies already offer a diversity of solutions for this area. Ilmay Karamanlar (Sales manager of Dücker conveyor systems) also convinced with his presentation of the latest product “Automatic Truck Loading System (ATLS)”. With this product, Dücker will offer a solution for the fully automated truck loading under 5 minutes in the near future.
SEEMI, the French company belongs to Dücker since 2020, and was represented at the Dücker stand for the first time. The third Spotlight presentation was given by Pauline Vigneras (SEEMI) on the subject of “How to replace the handling system of a factory without stopping the production”. She explained, how SEEMI supports customers to modify, to replace or to remove the existing conveyor system without stopping the production.
For the first-time presentation of the fully automated truck loading, Dücker was honoured the Gold Innovative Award. Together with Schumacher Packaging GmbH, the first prototype has already been installed and the solution-oriented company could prove that this concept works. At Schumacher, the first industry prototype will also be installed, after prior test at Dücker premises, which will be developed further during the ongoing production.
Appropriately for his 50th anniversary in business management, Peter Dücker was additionally honoured the Life Achievement Award for his efforts in the corrugated board industry. This price was given by the technical committee for his engagement in the development of top solutions over many decades. Also the next generation, consisting of Julia and Markus Dücker is already active in the business management of Dücker.
